Operation Holiday Cheer 2012
Lt. Governor Elizabeth Roberts is proud to join with community and corporate
sponsors in conjunction with the Rhode Island National Guard and Rhode
Island's Family Assistance Center to to announce Operation Holiday Cheer 2012 at the Kick-Off Press Conference on November 5, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Warwick National Guard Armory, 541 Airport Road, Warwick.
Operation Holiday Cheer gives Rhode Island residents and businesses a
chance to give back to the troops who are serving abroad at the holidays with care packages from home.
Holiday Cheer Donation Date
This year we will be accepting donations from the public and community partners on
Saturday, December 8th from 9 am - 1 pm
at our new location:

Donations for care packages
- Individual donations: Donations of items in any amount
for the care packages can be dropped off between 9:00am and 1:00 pm
on Saturday, December 8th at the Warwick
Armory, 541 Airport Road, Warwick, RI 02886. Please check the Troops'
Wish List for items that are requested and for those that
cannot be accepted. Click

- Corporate sponsors: To become a corporate or community
sponsor, contact Maria Tocco at mtocco@ltgov.state.ri.us
for more information. Donations of items to fill 350 care packages and monetary donations to cover the cost of shipping the packages to the troops are
being sought, but donations in any amount are appreciated and will be
accepted.
- Donate Online: Beginning November 5, 2012, cash donations can be made online
at the American Red Cross RI Chapter www.riredcross.org
at OR by check payable to the American Red Cross, RI Chapter,
Attn: Operation Holiday Cheer, 105 Gano Street, Providence, RI 02906.
Please write "Operation Holiday Cheer" on the memo line of
checks.
