While Rhode Island men and women serve courageously overseas their families sacrifice here at home. That is why Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts is so grateful for the care and support Rhode Island’s Military Family Relief Fund provides for hundreds of troops and their families.
Lt. Gov. Roberts is proud to continue the legacy of former Lt. Gov. Charles Fogarty by supporting Rhode Island’s service men and women. Now, Rhode Islanders can show their support by purchasing a flag decal for their license plates to benefit the fund created by Fogarty in 2004. The Rhode Island Military Family Fund helps family members of mobilized National Guard and Reserves cope with financial hardships due to extended deployments.
The flag decal is the only sticker, other than the registration sticker, that is allowed by law to appear on Rhode Island license plates. The decal was commissioned through legislation passed in 2006 by the Rhode Island General Assembly through the bi-partisan leadership of Rep. John Loughlin and Rep. Ray Sullivan.
The flag decal is now currently available for $5.00 at all the following locations:
